Die 22 Martii 2026.

Dominica Passionis.

Semiduplex.

Amen.
Dómine in unióne illíus divínæ intentiónis, qua ipse in terris laudes Deo persolvísti, has tibi Horas persólvo.

O Lord, open Thou my mouth that I may bless Thy Holy Name. Cleanse my heart from all vain, evil, and wandering thoughts; enlighten my understanding; kindle my affections, that I may pray to, and praise Thee with attention and devotion; and may worthily be heard before the presence of Thy Divine Majesty. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Lord, in union with that Divine Intention wherewith Thou didst Thyself praise God, while as Thou wast on earth, I offer these Hours unto Thee.

Ad Vesperas.

Dicuntur secreto.

Pater noster, qui es in cœlis: sanctificétur nomen tuum: advéniat regnum tuum: fiat volúntas tua, sicut in cœlo et in terra. Panem nostrum quotidiánum da nobis hódie: et dimítte nobis débita nostra, sicut et nos dimíttimus debitóribus nostris: et ne nos indúcas in tentatiónem: sed líbera nos a malo. Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven: hallowed be thy name: thy kingdom come: thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread: and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us: and lead us not into temptation: but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Ave María, grátia plena, Dóminus tecum: benedícta tu in muliéribus, et benedíctus fructus ventris tui Jesus. Sancta María, Mater Dei, ora pro nobis peccatóribus, nunc et in hora mortis nostræ. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Deinde clara voce:

℣. Deus ✠ in adjutórium meum inténde.
℟. Dómine ad adjuvándum me festína.
Glória Patri, et Fílio, et Spirítui sancto.
Sicut erat in princípio, et nunc, et semper, et in sǽcula sæculórum. Amen. Laus tibi Dómine, Rex ætérnæ glóriæ.

Make haste, O God, to deliver me.
Make haste to help me, O Lord.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. Praise to Thee be given Lord, King of eternal glory.

Psalmi.

Dixit Dóminus.

The Lord said.

Psalmus 109.

Dixit Dóminus Dómino meo: * Sede a dextris meis:
2 Donec ponam inimícos tuos, * scabéllum pedum tuórum.
3 Virgam virtútis tuæ emíttet Dóminus ex Sion: * domináre in médio inimicórum tuórum.
4 Tecum princípium in die virtútis tuæ in splendóribus sanctórum: * ex útero ante lucíferum génui te.
5 Jurávit Dóminus, et non pœnitébit eum: * Tu es sacérdos in ætérnum secúndum órdinem Melchísedech.
6 Dóminus a dextris tuis, * confrégit in die iræ suæ reges.
7 Judicábit in natiónibus, implébit ruínas: * conquassábit cápita in terra multórum.
8 De torrénte in via bibet: * proptérea exaltábit caput.
Glória Patri, et Fílio, * et Spirítui sancto.
Sicut erat in princípio, et nunc, et semper: * et in sǽcula sæculórum. Amen.

The Lord said to my Lord: * Sit thou at my right hand:
2 Until I make thy enemies * thy footstool.
3 The Lord will send forth the sceptre of thy power out of Sion: * rule thou in the midst of thy enemies.
4 With thee is the principality in the day of thy strength: in the brightness of the saints: * from the womb before the day star I begot thee.
5 The Lord hath sworn, and he will not repent: * Thou art a priest for ever according to the order of Melchisedech.
6 The Lord at thy right hand * hath broken kings in the day of his wrath.
7 He shall judge among nations, he shall fill ruins: * he shall crush the heads in the land of the many.
8 He shall drink of the torrent in the way: * therefore shall he lift up the head.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, * and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be: * world without end. Amen.

Dixit Dóminus Dómino meo: Sede a dextris meis.

The Lord said unto my Lord: sit Thou at my right hand.

5 Quis sicut Dóminus Deus noster, qui in altis hábitat, * et humília réspicit in cœlo et in terra?

7 That he may place him with princes, * with the princes of his people.
8 Who maketh a barren woman to dwell in a house, * the joyful mother of children.

Nos qui vívimus,

We that live,

Psalmus 113.

7 A fácie Dómini mota est terra, * a fácie Dei Jacob.
8 Qui convértit petram in stagna aquárum, * et rupem in fontes aquárum.
Amen.

When Israel went out of Egypt, * the house of Jacob from a barbarous people:
2 Judea was made his sanctuary, * Israel his dominion.
3 The sea saw and fled: * Jordan was turned back.
4 The mountains skipped like rams, * and the hills like the lambs of the flock.
5 What ailed thee, O thou sea, that thou didst flee: * and thou, O Jordan, that thou wast turned back?
6 Ye mountains, that ye skipped like rams, * and ye hills, like lambs of the flock?
7 At the presence of the Lord the earth was moved, * at the presence of the God of Jacob:
8 Who turned the rock into pools of water, * and the stony hill into fountains of waters.
9 Not to us, O Lord, not to us; * but to thy name give glory.
10 For thy mercy, and for thy truth's sake: * lest the gentiles should say: Where is their God?
11 But our God is in heaven: * he hath done all things whatsoever he would.
12 The idols of the gentiles are silver and gold, * the works of the hands of men.
13 They have mouths and speak not: * they have eyes and see not.
14 They have ears and hear not: * they have noses and smell not.
15 They have hands and feel not: † they have feet and walk not: * neither shall they cry out through their throat.
16 Let them that make them become like unto them: * and all such as trust in them.
17 The house of Israel hath hoped in the Lord: * he is their helper and their protector.
18 The house of Aaron hath hoped in the Lord: * he is their helper and their protector.
19 They that fear the Lord hath hoped in the Lord: * he is their helper and their protector.
20 The Lord hath been mindful of us, * and hath blessed us.
21 He hath blessed the house of Israel: * he hath blessed the house of Aaron.
22 He hath blessed all that fear the Lord, * both little and great.
23 May the Lord add blessings upon you: * upon you, and upon your children.
24 Blessed be you of the Lord, * who made heaven and earth.
25 The heaven of heaven is the Lord's: * but the earth he has given to the children of men.
26 The dead shall not praise thee, O Lord: * nor any of them that go down to hell.
27 But we that live bless the Lord: * from this time now and for ever.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, * and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be: * world without end. Amen.

Nos qui vívimus, benedícimus Dómino.

We that live, bless the Lord.

Psalmus 114.

Diléxi, quóniam exaúdiet Dóminus * vocem oratiónis meæ.
2 Quia inclinávit aurem suam mihi: * et in diébus meis invocábo.
3 Circumdedérunt me dolóres mortis: * et perícula inférni invenérunt me.
4 Tribulatiónem et dolórem invéni: * et nomen Dómini invocávi.
5 O Dómine líbera ánimam meam: † miséricors Dóminus, et justus, * et Deus noster miserétur.
6 Custódiens párvulos Dóminus: * humiliátus sum, et liberávit me.
7 Convértere ánima mea in réquiem tuam: * quia Dóminus benefécit tibi.
8 Quia erípuit ánimam meam de morte: † óculos meos a lácrimis, * pedes meos a lapsu.
9 Placébo Dómino * in regióne vivórum.
Réquiem ætérnam * dona eis Dómine.
Et lux perpétua * lúceat eis.

I have loved, because the Lord will hear * the voice of my prayer.
2 Because he hath inclined his ear unto me: * and in my days I will call upon him.
3 The sorrows of death have compassed me: * and the perils of hell have found me.
4 I met with trouble and sorrow: * And I called upon the name of the Lord.
5 O Lord, deliver my soul. † The Lord is merciful and just, * and our God sheweth mercy.
6 The Lord is the keeper of little ones: * I was humbled and he delivered me.
7 Turn, O my soul, into thy rest: * for the Lord hath been bountiful to thee.
8 For he hath delivered my soul from death: † my eyes from tears, * my feet from falling.
9 I will please the Lord * in the land of the living.
O Lord, grant them * eternal rest.
And let the everlasting light * shine upon them.

Heu mihi Dómine,

Psalmus 119.

2 Dómine líbera ánimam meam a lábiis iníquis, * et a lingua dolósa.

In my trouble I cried to the Lord: * and he heard me.
2 O Lord, deliver my soul from wicked lips, * and a deceitful tongue.
3 What shall be given to thee, or what shall be added to thee, * to a deceitful tongue?
4 The sharp arrows of the mighty, * with coals that lay waste.
5 Woe is me, that my sojourning is prolonged! † I have dwelt with the inhabitants of Cedar: * my soul hath been long a sojourner.
6 With them that hated peace I was peaceable: * when I spoke to them they fought against me without cause.
O Lord, grant them * eternal rest.
And let the everlasting light * shine upon them.

Heu mihi Dómine, quia incolátus meus prolongátus est.

Dóminus custódit te.

Psalmus 120.

Levávi óculos meos in montes, * unde véniet auxílium mihi.

2 My help is from the Lord, * who made heaven and earth.
3 May he not suffer thy foot to be moved: * neither let him slumber that keepeth thee.
4 Behold he shall neither slumber nor sleep, * that keepeth Israel.
5 The Lord is thy keeper, the Lord is thy protection * upon thy right hand.
6 The sun shall not burn thee by day: * nor the moon by night.

5 Sustínuit ánima mea in verbo ejus: * sperávit ánima mea in Dómino.
6 A custódia matutína usque ad noctem: * speret Israël in Dómino.

Out of the depths I have cried to thee, O Lord: * Lord, hear my voice.
2 Let thy ears be attentive * to the voice of my supplication.
3 If thou, O Lord, wilt mark iniquities: * Lord, who shall stand it.
4 For with thee there is merciful forgiveness: * and by reason of thy law, I have waited for thee, O Lord.
5 My soul hath relied on his word: * My soul hath hoped in the Lord.
6 From the morning watch even until night, * let Israel hope in the Lord.
7 Because with the Lord there is mercy: * and with him plentiful redemption.
8 And he shall redeem Israel * from all his iniquities.
O Lord, grant them * eternal rest.
And let the everlasting light * shine upon them.

3 Super misericórdia tua, et veritáte tua: * quóniam magnificásti super omne, nomen sanctum tuum.
4 In quacúmque die invocávero te, exaúdi me: * multiplicábis in ánima mea virtútem.
5 Confiteántur tibi Dómine omnes reges terræ: * quia audiérunt ómnia verba oris tui:
6 Et cantent in viis Dómini: * quóniam magna est glória Dómini.
7 Quóniam excélsus Dóminus, et humília réspicit: * et alta a longe cognóscit.
8 Si ambulávero in médio tribulatiónis, vivificábis me: † et super iram inimicórum meórum extendísti manum tuam, * et salvum me fecit déxtera tua.
9 Dóminus retríbuet pro me: † Dómine misericórdia tua in sǽculum: * ópera mánuum tuárum ne despícias.
Réquiem ætérnam * dona eis Dómine.
Et lux perpétua * lúceat eis.

I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart: * for thou hast heard the words of my mouth.
2 I will sing praise to thee in the sight of the angels: * I will worship towards thy holy temple, and I will give glory to thy name.
3 For thy mercy, and for thy truth: * for thou hast magnified thy holy name above all.
4 In what day soever I shall call upon thee, hear me: * thou shalt multiply strength in my soul.
5 May all the kings of the earth give glory to thee: * for they have heard all the words of thy mouth.
6 And let them sing in the ways of the Lord: * for great is the glory of the Lord.
7 For the Lord is high, and looketh on the low: * and the high he knoweth afar off.
8 If I shall walk in the midst of tribulation, thou wilt quicken me: † and thou hast stretched forth thy hand against the wrath of my enemies: * and thy right hand hath saved me.
9 The Lord will repay for me: † thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever: * O despise not the works of thy hands.
O Lord, grant them * eternal rest.
And let the everlasting light * shine upon them.

Opera mánuum tuárum Dómine ne despícias.

Canticum B. Mariæ Virg.

Omne.

Magnificat.

5 Et misericórdia ejus a progénie in progénies * timéntibus eum.
6 Fecit poténtiam in bráchio suo: * dispérsit supérbos mente cordis sui.

My soul doth magnify * the Lord.
2 And my spirit hath rejoiced * in God my Saviour.
3 Because he hath regarded the humility of his handmaid; * for behold from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.
4 Because he that is mighty, hath done great things to me; * and holy is his name.
5 And his mercy is from generation unto generations, * to them that fear him.
6 He hath shewed might in his arm: * he hath scattered the proud in the conceit of their heart.
7 He hath put down the mighty from their seat, * and hath exalted the humble.
8 He hath filled the hungry with good things; * and the rich he hath sent empty away.
9 He hath received Israel his servant, * being mindful of his mercy:
10 As he spoke to our fathers, * to Abraham and to his seed for ever.
O Lord, grant them * eternal rest.
And let the everlasting light * shine upon them.

Omne quod dat mihi Pater, ad me véniet: et eum qui venit ad me, non ejíciam foras.

℣. Et ne nos indúcas in tentatiónem.
℟. Sed líbera nos a malo.

Who art in heaven: hallowed be thy name: thy kingdom come: thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread: and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us:
℣. And lead us not into templation.
℟. But deliver us from evil.

3 His spirit shall go forth, and he shall return into his earth: * in that day all their thoughts shall perish.
