Die 1 Aprilis 2026.

Feria IV Majoris Hebdomadæ.

Simplex.

Amen.
Dómine in unióne illíus divínæ intentiónis, qua ipse in terris laudes Deo persolvísti, has tibi Horas persólvo.

O Lord, open Thou my mouth that I may bless Thy Holy Name. Cleanse my heart from all vain, evil, and wandering thoughts; enlighten my understanding; kindle my affections, that I may pray to, and praise Thee with attention and devotion; and may worthily be heard before the presence of Thy Divine Majesty. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Lord, in union with that Divine Intention wherewith Thou didst Thyself praise God, while as Thou wast on earth, I offer these Hours unto Thee.

Ad Vesperas.

Dicuntur secreto.

Pater noster, qui es in cœlis: sanctificétur nomen tuum: advéniat regnum tuum: fiat volúntas tua, sicut in cœlo et in terra. Panem nostrum quotidiánum da nobis hódie: et dimítte nobis débita nostra, sicut et nos dimíttimus debitóribus nostris: et ne nos indúcas in tentatiónem: sed líbera nos a malo. Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven: hallowed be thy name: thy kingdom come: thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread: and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us: and lead us not into temptation: but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Ave María, grátia plena, Dóminus tecum: benedícta tu in muliéribus, et benedíctus fructus ventris tui Jesus. Sancta María, Mater Dei, ora pro nobis peccatóribus, nunc et in hora mortis nostræ. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Deinde clara voce:

℣. Deus ✠ in adjutórium meum inténde.
℟. Dómine ad adjuvándum me festína.
Glória Patri, et Fílio, et Spirítui sancto.
Sicut erat in princípio, et nunc, et semper, et in sǽcula sæculórum. Amen. Laus tibi Dómine, Rex ætérnæ glóriæ.

Make haste, O God, to deliver me.
Make haste to help me, O Lord.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. Praise to Thee be given Lord, King of eternal glory.

Psalmi.

Non confundétur.

He shall not be ashamed.

Psalmus 126.

Nisi Dóminus ædificáverit domum, * in vanum laboravérunt qui ædíficant eam.
Amen.

Unless the Lord build the house, * they labour in vain that build it.
2 Unless the Lord keep the city, * he watcheth in vain that keepeth it.
3 It is vain for you to rise before light, * rise ye after you have sitten, you that eat the bread of sorrow.
4 When he shall give sleep to his beloved, * Behold the inheritance of the Lord are children: the reward, the fruit of the womb.
5 As arrows in the hand of the mighty, * so the children of them that have been shaken.
6 Blessed is the man that hath filled the desire with them; * he shall not be confounded when he shall speak to his enemies in the gate.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, * and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be: * world without end. Amen.

He shall not be ashamed when he speaketh with his enemies in the gate.

Beáti.

Blessed.

Psalmus 127.

Beáti omnes, qui timent Dóminum, * qui ámbulant in viis ejus.
2 Labóres mánuum tuárum quia manducábis: * beátus es, et bene tibi erit.
3 Uxor tua sicut vitis abúndans, * in latéribus domus tuæ.
4 Fílii tui sicut novéllæ olivárum, * in circúitu mensæ tuæ.
Amen.

Blessed are all they that fear the Lord: * that walk in his ways.
2 For thou shalt eat the labours of thy hands: * blessed art thou, and it shall be well with thee.
3 Thy wife as a fruitful vine, * on the sides of thy house.
4 Thy children as olive plants, * round about thy table.
5 Behold, thus shall the man be blessed * that feareth the Lord.
6 May the Lord bless thee out of Sion: * and mayest thou see the good things of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.
7 And mayest thou see thy children's children, * peace upon Israel.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, * and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be: * world without end. Amen.

Beáti omnes, qui timent Dóminum.

Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord.

Sæpe.

Many a time.

Psalmus 128.

Sæpe expugnavérunt me a juventúte mea, * dicat nunc Israël.
2 Sæpe expugnavérunt me a juventúte mea, * étenim non potuérunt mihi.
Amen.

Often have they fought against me from my youth, * let Israel now say.
2 Often have they fought against me from my youth: * but they could not prevail over me.
3 The wicked have wrought upon my back: * they have lengthened their iniquity.
4 The Lord who is just will cut the necks of sinners: * Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Sion.
5 Let them be as grass upon the tops of houses: * which withereth before it be plucked up:
6 Wherewith the mower filleth not his hand: * nor he that gathereth sheaves his bosom.
7 And they that have passed by have not said: The blessing of the Lord be upon you: * we have blessed you in the name of the Lord.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, * and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be: * world without end. Amen.

Sæpe expugnavérunt me a juventúte mea.

Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth up.

De profúndis.

Out of the depths.

Psalmus 129.

2 Fiant aures tuæ intendéntes, * in vocem deprecatiónis meæ.
5 Sustínuit ánima mea in verbo ejus: * sperávit ánima mea in Dómino.
6 A custódia matutína usque ad noctem: * speret Israël in Dómino.
Amen.

Out of the depths I have cried to thee, O Lord: * Lord, hear my voice.
2 Let thy ears be attentive * to the voice of my supplication.
3 If thou, O Lord, wilt mark iniquities: * Lord, who shall stand it.
4 For with thee there is merciful forgiveness: * and by reason of thy law, I have waited for thee, O Lord.
5 My soul hath relied on his word: * My soul hath hoped in the Lord.
6 From the morning watch even until night, * let Israel hope in the Lord.
7 Because with the Lord there is mercy: * and with him plentiful redemption.
8 And he shall redeem Israel * from all his iniquities.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, * and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be: * world without end. Amen.

De profúndis clamávi ad te Dómine.

Out of the depths have I cried unto Thee, O Lord.

Speret.

Let Israël hope.

Psalmus 130.

Amen.

Lord, my heart is not exalted: * nor are my eyes lofty.
2 Neither have I walked in great matters, * nor in wonderful things above me.
3 If I was not humbly minded, * but exalted my soul:
4 As a child that is weaned is towards his mother, * so reward in my soul.
5 Let Israel hope in the Lord, * from henceforth now and for ever.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, * and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be: * world without end. Amen.

Speret Israël in Dómino.

Let Israël hope in the Lord.

℟. Deo grátias.

But: O Lord of Sabaoth, That judgest righteously, and triest the reins and the heart, † let me see Thy vengeance on them: * for unto Thee, have I revealed my cause, O Lord my God.

Ancílla dixit.

The Lord hath regarded.

Magnificat.

5 Et misericórdia ejus a progénie in progénies * timéntibus eum.
6 Fecit poténtiam in bráchio suo: * dispérsit supérbos mente cordis sui.
Amen.

My soul doth magnify * the Lord.
2 And my spirit hath rejoiced * in God my Saviour.
3 Because he hath regarded the humility of his handmaid; * for behold from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.
4 Because he that is mighty, hath done great things to me; * and holy is his name.
5 And his mercy is from generation unto generations, * to them that fear him.
6 He hath shewed might in his arm: * he hath scattered the proud in the conceit of their heart.
7 He hath put down the mighty from their seat, * and hath exalted the humble.
8 He hath filled the hungry with good things; * and the rich he hath sent empty away.
9 He hath received Israel his servant, * being mindful of his mercy:
10 As he spoke to our fathers, * to Abraham and to his seed for ever.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, * and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be: * world without end. Amen.

Ancílla dixit Petro: Vere tu ex illis es: nam et loquéla tua maniféstum te facit.

The Lord hath regarded my lowliness, and He That is mighty hath done in me great things.

Psalmus 50.

Miserére mei Deus, * secúndum magnam misericórdiam tuam.
2 Et secúndum multitúdinem miseratiónum tuárum, * dele iniquitátem meam.
3 Amplius lava me ab iniquitáte mea: * et a peccáto meo munda me.
8 Aspérges me hyssópo, et mundábor: * lavábis me, et super nivem dealbábor.
9 Audítui meo dabis gaúdium et lætítiam: * et exsultábunt ossa humiliáta.
10 Avérte fáciem tuam a peccátis meis: * et omnes iniquitátes meas dele.
11 Cor mundum crea in me Deus: * et spíritum rectum ínnova in viscéribus meis.
12 Ne projícias me a fácie tua: * et Spíritum sanctum tuum ne aúferas a me.
13 Redde mihi lætítiam salutáris tui: * et spíritu principáli confírma me.
Amen.
℣. Dómine Deus virtútum convérte nos.
℟. Et osténde fáciem tuam, et salvi érimus.
℣. Exsúrge Christe, ádjuva nos.
℟. Et líbera nos propter nomen tuum.
℣. Dómine exaúdi oratiónem meam.
℟. Et clamor meus ad te véniat.

Have mercy on me, O God, * according to thy great mercy.
2 And according to the multitude of thy tender mercies * blot out my iniquity.
3 Wash me yet more from my iniquity, * and cleanse me from my sin.
4 For I know my iniquity, * and my sin is always before me.
5 To thee only have I sinned, and have done evil before thee: * that thou mayst be justified in thy words and mayst overcome when thou art judged.
6 For behold I was conceived in iniquities; * and in sins did my mother conceive me.
7 For behold thou hast loved truth: * the uncertain and hidden things of thy wisdom thou hast made manifest to me.
8 Thou shalt sprinkle me with hyssop, and I shall be cleansed: * thou shalt wash me, and I shall be made whiter than snow.
9 To my hearing thou shalt give joy and gladness: * and the bones that have been humbled shall rejoice.
10 Turn away thy face from my sins, * and blot out all my iniquities.
11 Create a clean heart in me, O God: * and renew a right spirit within my bowels.
12 Cast me not away from thy face; * and take not thy holy spirit from me.
13 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation, * and strengthen me with a perfect spirit.
14 I will teach the unjust thy ways: * and the wicked shall be converted to thee.
15 Deliver me from blood, O God, thou God of my salvation: * and my tongue shall extol thy justice.
16 O Lord, thou wilt open my lips: * and my mouth shall declare thy praise.
17 For if thou hadst desired sacrifice, I would indeed have given it: * with burnt offerings thou wilt not be delighted.
18 A sacrifice to God is an afflicted spirit: * a contrite and humbled heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
19 Deal favourably, O Lord, in thy good will with Sion; * that the walls of Jerusalem may be built up.
20 Then shalt thou accept the sacrifice of justice, oblations and whole burnt offerings: * then shall they lay calves upon thy altar.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, * and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be: * world without end. Amen.
℣. Turn us again, O Lord God of Hosts.
℟. And cause Thy face to shine, and we shall be saved.

Amen.
