Die 24 Januarii 2027.

In Conversione Sancti Pauli Apostoli.

Duplex Majus.

Amen.
Dómine in unióne illíus divínæ intentiónis, qua ipse in terris laudes Deo persolvísti, has tibi Horas persólvo.

O Lord, open Thou my mouth that I may bless Thy Holy Name. Cleanse my heart from all vain, evil, and wandering thoughts; enlighten my understanding; kindle my affections, that I may pray to, and praise Thee with attention and devotion; and may worthily be heard before the presence of Thy Divine Majesty. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Lord, in union with that Divine Intention wherewith Thou didst Thyself praise God, while as Thou wast on earth, I offer these Hours unto Thee.

Ad Vesperas.

Dicuntur secreto.

Pater noster, qui es in cœlis: sanctificétur nomen tuum: advéniat regnum tuum: fiat volúntas tua, sicut in cœlo et in terra. Panem nostrum quotidiánum da nobis hódie: et dimítte nobis débita nostra, sicut et nos dimíttimus debitóribus nostris: et ne nos indúcas in tentatiónem: sed líbera nos a malo. Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven: hallowed be thy name: thy kingdom come: thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread: and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us: and lead us not into temptation: but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Ave María, grátia plena, Dóminus tecum: benedícta tu in muliéribus, et benedíctus fructus ventris tui Jesus. Sancta María, Mater Dei, ora pro nobis peccatóribus, nunc et in hora mortis nostræ. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Deinde clara voce:

℣. Deus ✠ in adjutórium meum inténde.
℟. Dómine ad adjuvándum me festína.
Glória Patri, et Fílio, et Spirítui sancto.

Make haste, O God, to deliver me.
Make haste to help me, O Lord.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. Praise to Thee be given Lord, King of eternal glory.

Psalmi.

Ego plantávi, * Apóllo rigávit, Deus autem increméntum dedit.

I have planted, * Apollos watered, but God gave the increase, alleluia.

Psalmus 109.

Dixit Dóminus Dómino meo: * Sede a dextris meis:
2 Donec ponam inimícos tuos, * scabéllum pedum tuórum.
3 Virgam virtútis tuæ emíttet Dóminus ex Sion: * domináre in médio inimicórum tuórum.
4 Tecum princípium in die virtútis tuæ in splendóribus sanctórum: * ex útero ante lucíferum génui te.
5 Jurávit Dóminus, et non pœnitébit eum: * Tu es sacérdos in ætérnum secúndum órdinem Melchísedech.
6 Dóminus a dextris tuis, * confrégit in die iræ suæ reges.
7 Judicábit in natiónibus, implébit ruínas: * conquassábit cápita in terra multórum.
8 De torrénte in via bibet: * proptérea exaltábit caput.
Glória Patri, et Fílio, * et Spirítui sancto.
Sicut erat in princípio, et nunc, et semper: * et in sǽcula sæculórum. Amen.

The Lord said to my Lord: * Sit thou at my right hand:
2 Until I make thy enemies * thy footstool.
3 The Lord will send forth the sceptre of thy power out of Sion: * rule thou in the midst of thy enemies.
4 With thee is the principality in the day of thy strength: in the brightness of the saints: * from the womb before the day star I begot thee.
5 The Lord hath sworn, and he will not repent: * Thou art a priest for ever according to the order of Melchisedech.
6 The Lord at thy right hand * hath broken kings in the day of his wrath.
7 He shall judge among nations, he shall fill ruins: * he shall crush the heads in the land of the many.
8 He shall drink of the torrent in the way: * therefore shall he lift up the head.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, * and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be: * world without end. Amen.

Ego plantávi, Apóllo rigávit, Deus autem increméntum dedit.

I have planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase, alleluia.

Libénter gloriábor * in infirmitátibus meis, ut inhábitet in me virtus Christi.

Most gladly therefore will I rather glory * in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Psalmus 110.

Confitébor tibi Dómine in toto corde meo: * in consílio justórum, et congregatióne.
2 Magna ópera Dómini: * exquisíta in omnes voluntátes ejus.
5 Memor erit in sǽculum testaménti sui: * virtútem óperum suórum annuntiábit pópulo suo:
7 Fidélia ómnia mandáta ejus: † confirmáta in sǽculum sǽculi, * facta in veritáte et æquitáte.
8 Redemptiónem misit pópulo suo: * mandávit in ætérnum testaméntum suum.
9 (Fit reverentia) Sanctum, et terríbile nomen ejus: * inítium sapiéntiæ timor Dómini.
10 Intelléctus bonus ómnibus faciéntibus eum: * laudátio ejus manet in sǽculum sǽculi.
Glória Patri, et Fílio, * et Spirítui sancto.
Sicut erat in princípio, et nunc, et semper: * et in sǽcula sæculórum. Amen.

I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; * in the council of the just: and in the congregation.
2 Great are the works of the Lord: * sought out according to all his wills.
3 His work is praise and magnificence: * and his justice continueth for ever and ever.
4 He hath made a remembrance of his wonderful works, † being a merciful and gracious Lord: * He hath given food to them that fear him.
5 He will be mindful for ever of his covenant: * He will shew forth to his people the power of his works.
6 That he may give them the inheritance of the Gentiles: * the works of his hands are truth and judgment.
7 All his commandments are faithful: † confirmed for ever and ever, * made in truth and equity.
8 He hath sent redemption to his people: * he hath commanded his covenant for ever.
9 Holy and terrible is his name: * The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
10 A good understanding to all that do it: * his praise continueth for ever and ever.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, * and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be: * world without end. Amen.

Libénter gloriábor in infirmitátibus meis, ut inhábitet in me virtus Christi.

Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Grátia Dei * in me vácua non fuit, sed grátia ejus semper in me manet.

The grace of God which was bestowed upon me was not in vain, but His grace abideth ever in me.

Psalmus 111.

Beátus vir, qui timet Dóminum: * in mandátis ejus volet nimis.
2 Potens in terra erit semen ejus: * generátio rectórum benedicétur.
3 Glória, et divítiæ in domo ejus: * et justítia ejus manet in sǽculum sǽculi.
8 Dispérsit, dedit paupéribus: † justítia ejus manet in sǽculum sǽculi, * cornu ejus exaltábitur in glória.
9 Peccátor vidébit, et irascétur, † déntibus suis fremet et tabéscet: * desidérium peccatórum períbit.
Glória Patri, et Fílio, * et Spirítui sancto.
Sicut erat in princípio, et nunc, et semper: * et in sǽcula sæculórum. Amen.

Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord: * he shall delight exceedingly in his commandments.
2 His seed shall be mighty upon earth: * the generation of the righteous shall be blessed.
3 Glory and wealth shall be in his house: * and his justice remaineth for ever and ever.
4 To the righteous a light is risen up in darkness: * he is merciful, and compassionate and just.
5 Acceptable is the man that sheweth mercy and lendeth: † he shall order his words with judgment: * Because he shall not be moved for ever.
6 The just shall be in everlasting remembrance: * he shall not fear the evil hearing.
7 His heart is ready to hope in the Lord: † His heart is strengthened, * he shall not be moved until he look over his enemies.
8 He hath distributed, he hath given to the poor: † his justice remaineth for ever and ever: * his horn shall be exalted in glory.
9 The wicked shall see, and shall be angry, † he shall gnash with his teeth and pine away: * the desire of the wicked shall perish.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, * and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be: * world without end. Amen.

Grátia Dei in me vácua non fuit, sed grátia ejus semper in me manet.

The grace of God which was bestowed upon me was not in vain, but His grace abideth ever in me.

Damásci, præpósitus * Gentis Arétæ regis vóluit me comprehéndere: a frátribus per murum demíssus sum in sporta, et sic evási manus ejus in nómine Dómini.

In Damascus the governor * under Aretas the king was desirous to apprehend me; by the brethren in a basket was I let down by the wall, and so escaped I his hands, in the name of the Lord.

Psalmus 112.

3 A solis ortu usque ad occásum, * laudábile nomen Dómini.
4 Excélsus super omnes Gentes Dóminus, * et super cœlos glória ejus.
5 Quis sicut Dóminus Deus noster, qui in altis hábitat, * et humília réspicit in cœlo et in terra?
Amen.

Praise the Lord, ye children: * praise ye the name of the Lord.
2 Blessed be the name of the Lord, * from henceforth now and for ever.
3 From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same, * the name of the Lord is worthy of praise.
4 The Lord is high above all nations; * and his glory above the heavens.
5 Who is as the Lord our God, who dwelleth on high: * And looketh down on the low things in heaven and in earth?
6 Raising up the needy from the earth, * and lifting up the poor out of the dunghill:
7 That he may place him with princes, * with the princes of his people.
8 Who maketh a barren woman to dwell in a house, * the joyful mother of children.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, * and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be: * world without end. Amen.

Damásci, præpósitus Gentis Arétæ regis vóluit me comprehéndere: a frátribus per murum demíssus sum in sporta, et sic evási manus ejus in nómine Dómini.

Ter virgis cæsus sum, * semel lapidátus sum, ter naufrágium pértuli pro Christi nómine.

Thrice was I beaten with rods, * once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, for Christ's name's sake.

Psalmus 116.

Laudáte Dóminum omnes Gentes: * laudáte eum omnes pópuli:
2 Quóniam confirmáta est super nos misericórdia ejus: * et véritas Dómini manet in ætérnum.
Glória Patri, et Fílio, * et Spirítui sancto.
Sicut erat in princípio, et nunc, et semper: * et in sǽcula sæculórum. Amen.

O praise the Lord, all ye nations: * praise him, all ye people.
2 For his mercy is confirmed upon us: * and the truth of the Lord remaineth for ever.

Capitulum, Hymnus & Versiculus.

Capitulum. Act. 9.

℟. Deo grátias.

And Saul, as yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest, and asked of him letters to Damascus, to the synagogues: that if he found any men and women of this way, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem.
℟. Thanks be to God.

3 Because he hath regarded the humility of his handmaid; * for behold from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.
4 Because he that is mighty, hath done great things to me; * and holy is his name.
5 And his mercy is from generation unto generations, * to them that fear him.
6 He hath shewed might in his arm: * he hath scattered the proud in the conceit of their heart.
7 He hath put down the mighty from their seat, * and hath exalted the humble.
